Microsoft are constantly endeavouring to make the Xbox Live experience as enjoyable and interactive as possible for current users and newbies to the console. Asthe capabilities broaden, Microsoft can include various great functions online, e.g Twitter, Sky and Netfix. One of the great and exciting upcoming projects is Xbox 360 virtual arcade, which is gathering much excitment from users.
Microsoft are expanding on the ability to access retro games online by producing the new Xbox 360 virtual arcade. The objective is to re-introduce certain titles which many older and nostalgic game-players would like to play again. Whilst many of these titles may seem simple or perhaps laughable to the customers of today, Microsoft state that most are still great titles worth trying out.
Some of the titles planned for this feature include such classics as Rocket Knight, Centipede, Streets of Rage and even fan fave Asteroids. These titles will mean the world to those players who grew up with them, and offer a nice alternative to the bigger games of our day. The Xbox 360 virtual arcade even offers players their own interactive arcade home. When a player purchases one of the classic titles, they can place it anywhere in the arcade, and they even appear in the classic arcade cabinets!
Lastly, Microsoft's new outlet is ful ly interactive, so game-players can invite their chums to enter and play in theirown arcade. Voice chat is supported together with avatars, leaderboards, multiplayer functions and more.
